How a Chocolate Bar Can Help You Create Wealth and Success

I love chocolate.

It tastes delicious and makes me feel great.  What’s NOT to love?!!  Other than all the bad carbs. :(

The Hershey bar was created by Milton Hershey in 1903 – but he was not always successful.  Back in the 1870’s he decided on a career in the candy business.  He completed a 4 year apprenticeship with a Lancaster candy maker and then decided to start his own company.  His first attempt failed.

He tried again in Chicago and failed again.

And again he failed in New York City.  But he kept trying.

He learned that success in business is not easy.  And it’s not about having great products.  (All of his confectionery concoctions were delicious!)  He learned that success in business is only possible through a series of failures.  Why?  Because we have to make mistakes in order to develop good judgment.

There are lessons in business that cannot be taught in school or in an apprenticeship.  The best lessons are learned by trying – and failing – making adjustments to your approach – then trying again!

As with all successful business people, Milton Hershey gradually developed good business judgement through experience.  His experience included little successes and big failures!  Milton Hershey’s eventual success is often attributed to his recipe for delectable milk chocolate.  But the real reason for his success was his willingness to make mistakes, learn from them and then adjust his strategy.  Learn more about this topic here http://www.abundance-of-wealth.cup-of-life.com/Financial-Peace.html .

What lesson can we learn from a chocolate bar?

We must take action, be willing to make mistakes, adjust our strategy, and keep going.  In business, good judgement comes from experience – so go out and make lots of mistakes as enthusiastically as you can!

Success will follow.
